Plato's Summer... Sparks!
So here we are. Summer's about to end. At least for me, since my vacation days are nearly over (a big SNIFF in here, just like in comics)
Where Summer's 2011 memories lead us to? A Tiny Tide album and a collaborative EP.
Here's the first gift from us, an EP called "Plato's Summer Sparks". We hope you like the songs and that you'll give some feedback to the artists who took part in this little (and warm!) Summer adventure.
PLATO'S SUMMER SPARKS
1. Yesterday's News (The Significant Othres - USA)
2. All My Summer Dreams (The Brigadier - UK)
3. Green Eyes (Tiny Tide - Italy)
4. Way you move (Waving Blue - Italy)
You can download the EP here. Enjoy.

Caroline, Plato and the news
Look. It's really late. I MEAN IT! It's 03.07 am in Italy, and I'm probably doin' a lot of noise just ticking the keyboard's keys. Moreover... my head is about to explode! In just a day and a half I recorded the last 3 songs for Plato, but managed only to finish this one...
Caroline Yeah by tinytide
And do you remember the lyrics that I passed to John to turn'em out in a song? Well... HE DID IT! And WHAT A GREAT SONG! So proud of him! It's like Julian Lennon singing a new hit! And the sound of the song is SO clear, not like my usual chaos! The song turned from "Falling Skies" to "Yesterday's News", and you can listen it... HERE!
The Significant Others - Yesterday's News by platosummerstars
Well, this Summer is about to end. I came up with 11 songs, and I feel like it makes sense to gather'em together in an album, just like a diary. It make sense. That's why I think that we'll have two releases instead of one: "Plato's Summer Stars" and the EP "Plato's Summer Sparks".
But - as I was telling you - my head is cracking, and it's really late. So I think I better leave you with the lyrics of "Caroline Yeah", another love song and a direct reply to Brian Wilson :)
Take it a way Wil!
"CAROLINE YEAH"
"Don't ever ever try to change your hair
You're color is just rad
morever you have said it's natural
Oh Caroline yeah
If your should pick a place make sure it's here
Oh Caroline yeah
Make up your bed and make my life a mess
Oh Carline Yeah
WHo took that look away must be insane
But Carol doesn't mind
I guess I'll fall in love each brand new smile
Oh Caroline yeah
If you should pick a heart make sure it's mine this time
Oh Caroline yeah
Make up your mind and make my day tonight
Oh Carline Yeah
But if a chance is meant to be this time
I don't wanna say goodbye"

Name and Shame
Hi there from the hot dark room. Even close in this place London Riot acts easily managed to disrupt into my room through news, reports, but especially by the updates of some friends of mine living in there. Don't know why all this madness managed to catch my attention and hurt my feelings more than worldwide economy breakdown or the fights in Syria and Afghanistan. Maybe because friends were involved, possibly because it's still Europe and as for me it was totally unespected. Having a diary of Summer 2011 would have sounded quite lame ignoring those riots, so here's my song supporting the MET POLICE against London Riots what you can join and help subscibing here (or maybe I should talk in past tense if you're reading this from the future and a) all this madness is just history or b) England doesn't exist anymore and wer've got New Shanghai instead.)
Anyway. Here's the song.
Name and Shame by tinytide
and the lyrics so far...
NAME AND SHAME
"We are watching happening right now, any second counts
I could get updated by a tweet or a shout
Use your power, don't steal and keep calm, bring the police down
Mindless thugs the ones that should have payed by now
Hope that all those bobbies will stay safe tonight
Shoppers even had no insurance.
Families have lost their hopes and place, I'm ashamed
No one moved a finger on those fat beefeaters
Give'em guns, blow'em up
fill this great lack of regard
I don't care, what it's right
I'm just waiting for the cop cars
Name and shame
I can't see your face today
Herd the scums, like rouge cats
and then shipp'em to Afghan
What the Fuck
it's a crime
Bring on water and dum shots
Name and shame
Sign right here for your own safe
Police had a lot of calls today
Did somebody set a page?
Violence won't bring back your home today
All because of all these mindless thugs
Where are all the parents now?
Are they guilty just like us?
Wanna try to see who wears the mask?
You can't hide a face for that long time
Wonder what became of human rights
A shoot in the leg should be enough...
Give'em guns, blow'em up
fill this great lack of regard
I don't care, what it's right
I'm just waiting for cop cars
Name and shame
Name and shame
It's abuse thrown on our face
Useless cunts, stinky rats
will they grow to stab your back
The whole place
goin to Hell
who will save us from ourselves
Name and shame
Name and shame
Bring me water for scum bags
Can't believe what England has become
today
Can't believe what we all have become
these days"

Green Eyes
Really dark and hot in here. Average Italian august weather. My neck bones still hurt, but I wanted to find the strength ant the time to finish this song. It's called "Green Eyes" and it's dealing with last night Handsome Fur show. They didn't played their most popular hit, but at least I had a real nice surprise in return, meeting a friend I was really pleased to see. Totally unexpected. Too bad she left after she received a phone ring. Whatever... Here we are with music and words.

GREEN EYES
by Tiny Tide
"Waiting for the part where they get confused
Staring at the two shaking their tattoos
They were not as cold as Kubrick
Weren't Aliens not at all
They got busted on the beach chairs
while pretending to make love
And now that they're about to leave the stage
All I have to do is turn away
But a look among the posh crowd
Just a look and you were there
Wasn't ready to your sweet smile
Only inches far from mine
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
You caught me by surprise
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
I hope you won't mind
My love is blind
And soon we walked away from those strob lights
because of all that noise we did talk high
Throwing lines and burning bridges
timing dreams with alarm clocks
As your mobile started bleeping
I was trying hard to see again your eyes
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
You caught me by surprise
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
Got water in your bag
My love is dry
Green Eyes"

Nimesulide EG
Dark here. For once in a while I managed to finish my new Platonic song just in time for a Sunday afternoon nap. I was really pleased that Piper wrote me thankin' me for the nice DJSet. It has been very sweet of her. After my "Italiafornian" week with Puro Instinct I sat one evening writing a song that was supposed to be a very minimal acoustic ballad on the casual neckbone hacks that hit me from time to time. Here's where the name "Nimesuline EG" come from. It's the name of a painkiller.
As I was saying it was supposed to be a very simple acoustic ballad, but plans changed as I bought last Of Montreal EP.
That's what you get.
Nimesulide EG by tinytide
And lyrics...
"I haven't slept all night
the pain was too much
except for that small part
where I came for your heart
And while my bones did ache
Not a thing I couldn't make
You know it was a mere
but I took all that I could take
I was banned, banned elsewhere, but not here
It was easy, easy all the way but here
You were present for a moment, for a day
I was taken right before the expiry date
So time came to wake up
and my head was still a mess
my brain cut in small parts
extra beats pumped in my heart
And while I couldn't wait
All I needed was a break
You know that I could melt
If I can't take care for my health
I was banned, banned elsewhere, but not here
It was easy, easy all the way but here
You were present for a moment, for a day
I was taken right before the expiry date
anti-diabetes
anti-infection
anti-biotics
anti-hypertension
anti-jokes
and anti-choke
and andti-bodies
anti-dote
anti-gen
anti-christ
anti-climax
anti-missile
anti-freeze
anti-smog
anti-pode
anti-social
just anti"
